From Tape to Timeline
I started in radio when carts and razor blades were still standard issue. Long before plugins and playlists, it was just ears, instinct, and the occasional bit of tape stuck to your arm.
That’s where I learned the golden rule: great audio is invisible; it gets the message across without getting in the way.

Agency Years: Big Ideas, Bigger Deadlines
At George Patterson and Take 2, I produced sound for national campaigns, the 2000 Olympics, Optus, Hyundai, Doritos, Subaru, working alongside some of the sharpest creative minds in Australia.
It taught me how to turn big ideas into audio that connects, even under ridiculous deadlines.
“The thing about Robbo is that he gets it.”
– Phil Dowse
The Birth of Voodoo Sound
I built Voodoo Sound so I could bring that polish and care directly to the people behind the projects, stations, producers, and brands who needed someone who “just gets it.”
Since then, I’ve worked across radio imaging for ARN, ONE FM Singapore, and BBC 1Xtra, mixed Tropfest films, post-produced for Fremantle Media, Telstra, Foxtel, Clemenger and Saatchi & Saatchi and created hundreds of voice demos that actually book work.

Today: The Studio Without Borders
Location doesn’t matter anymore. With Source-Connect and Google Meet, I collaborate with clients all over the world.
From a live patch with Singapore to a quick mix for a London agency, it’s the same process: make it repeatable, believable, and creative.
“Smooth process, high-quality result.”
– Toby Ricketts
Why It Matters
All this experience isn’t about me, it’s about you knowing that your project’s sound will do exactly what it should.
It’ll support the story, not steal the spotlight.

Let's Talk
I don’t do cookie-cutter audio. I do collaboration.
So before you hit record or send that script, let’s talk about how to make it shine.
